“No pain, no gain”

Since I was young all I hear is weight loss, diets, the slimming pills but my sister Caroline has her own. “The Monday diet.” As most know I have 3 sisters and like all women they are always conscious of how they look. That they need a new dress for everything. Make-up, spanks or the famous botox don’t cover weight gain or tip the scales in your favour and that’s the harsh truth.

As much as you pay for programmes and diets there is only one thing that will pull you through the pain and give you accomplishment you deserve, that’s hard work and a mindset of what you want to achieve. In this world, men want to be muscular gods and girls want to be beautiful princess’s. We can all dream and some can achieve. The “Monday diet” is my favourite. Eat as much shite all weekend and Sunday evening comes. “I’m starting tomorrow” as the oven chimes and the 600 calorie pizza is cooked.

Everyone has good intentions but reasoning is lost. Some are committed to keeping in good shape for medical purposes and some have a true love for working hard. I admire these guys.

Personally I want to be 70 kgs and I have only 5 weeks to achieve this. I want it so bad that all I think about is how to do it. I worry so much that I forget to eat. In early years I got abuse and slander due to my physique. If some took time to understand what CF was, that I was pushed hard to exercise to clear my lungs (this is the best physio possible for us) and had no appetite to eat as well as my digestive system not working. They might not have laughed and instead have helped. Now my lungs are CF free so they are controlled and exercise is not as important. June 9th,  I left the mater hospital at 48kg (7 stone 8lbs) I worked extremely hard to be 65.3 kg’s today but I need that last 5kg more than anything. It’s a Christmas present to me. I started last week.

MONDAY: PILATES,
TUESDAY:ARMS,
WEDNESDAY:PILATES,
THURSDAY:LEGS,
FRIDAY:THE TORTURE CHAMBER!!!

Over the next 5 weeks I will share with you my weekly routine and progress and would ask you all to encourage each other to push through the pain and reap the benefits of gain or loss. If a man with CF, someone else’s lungs, 37 tablets per day, and a brain aneurysm in May can do it. So can you and please remember

“It takes 4 weeks for you to notice your body changing, 6 weeks for your friends and 8 weeks for the world”
Work hard, play hard!!!!
