So let’s get started after the horrible operation that is a peg tube and a little Portocath thrown In for good measure i came to a decision where i needed to make a few huge decisions i basically need to make the most of my final 2 years. No remember i was 20 when i got this new and i had my transplant at 24. 2 years ?? Blaaaaa. So main thing on my list was a car and a holiday. What really should have been on that list was a list of how I was getting on this active transplant list. So with my 21st coming up some of you might remember the little night in Roundfort. I think Sean fahy was kept in business for another few years. I felt at one stage it was more of a last hurray and a time to say thanks to everyone for there help and support throughout my life. No expense was spared. So on that day i was given a Volkswagon golf from my wonderful Caroline and Brendan. It was a exciting day. Later on a limo pulled up and walters and varley. Ya could not really ask for more i had family and friends around me. Now to enjoy a pretty hectic night. Laura o malley and anneka healy popped in with us too and we hit the first pub. Inches in ballinrobe. We had champagne and i knew there was going to be a crowd but didn’t expect hundreds. There was invitations sent to half of Mayo. I received over 3000 in presents.

So we arrive in Roundfort and you would think I would get out first but walters being the attention seeker he was gets out like a superstar. All ya can do is smile at the clown. So out We get and enjoy the night in our old pub the blackbird. The after party was in Martinas. Which involved a few highlights. Mick Mccarthys daughter anna was there and one man I will say no names decided he would hurl a bit of abuse. There was a wrestling match in the conservatory which broke a few things and if that wasn’t bad enough a sheep came through the door from one and only walters who chased a sheep for an hour to catch him and then decided he needed shelter through the front door carpet. So i hit off to the leaba to find kevin daly and walters spooning and kevin in a bob the builders hat. Next morning Martinas mother in law rocks over with Martina throwing lads out the front and she coming through the back. all seemed fine until the lads got warm stripped off and leaped through the fields of Hollymount. One of the greatest nights i have ever seen. There is one thing I will never forget and for legal reasons will mention no names or parties. The next day while going through cards i came across a card from a well known TD i thought to myself that was nice of him. A few nights later while out for dinner with the fam and watching roma hammer United this well known TD walks in and i thought it polite to thank him. He looked confused. I since found out it was his wife that wrote the card. Anything for a vote eh. ..
