So after the big party it was back to reality and an appointment with the most well known man in our CF community. Professor Jim Egan. Ya might no his brother Ken egan in Ballindine. So why was I meeting this man. My weight continued to plummet and my lung function was below 30. I had all this in my head. So in i walk and Jim was laid back on the chair looking relaxed. First question he asked was well boss how are you keeping and we talked for a while about football Ballindine and general chit chat. After this he turns and asks what i was doing there. So i began with all my medical problems. He stopped me in my tracks and said I know all that i have read it. He wanted to know how I was living so i told him I was working part time for Caroline living in Ballinrobe and trying to stay positive so the first meeting with prof Egan was over and i was declined for 6 month review. He thought I was too well. Trying to get on a transplant list is ĺike the lotto. You need to be sick enough but not too sick. I went home dejected and wondering where to go. I had severe Crohns at this stage due to all the tablets and constant antibiotics. It was hard to know what to do so i needed to see Chicago and Vegas!!!
